Dr. David Ihrke

DVM

Dr. Dave, as we call him here, is our Medical Director and hospital owner. He has been practicing veterinary medicine for over 25years. He took over the operation of Colonial Manor Animal Hospital in 2007 from our founder, his father, Dr. George Ihrke. Dr. Dave attended Carleton College and received a BA in 1991 and University of Missouri Columbia, where he obtained his DVM in 1995. His special interests include Orthopedics, Ultrasound, and Endoscopy. Dr. Ihrke prides himself on being continually up to date with the latest advances in veterinary medicine and equipping our hospital with the best technology available to care for our patients.

Dr. Julia "Jewels" Roque

DVM
Dr. Jewels joined our team in 2024. She graduated from Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2012 and completed an internship at the University of Tennessee in 2013. She has been working as a general practitioner in the Chicagoland area since 2013. She has a special interest in promoting feline and canine oral health. She also enjoys soft tissue and oral surgery as well as ultrasonography. She completed fear-free certification training.

In addition to her other interests, Dr. Jewels has a passion for international veterinary relief. She has volunteered for World Vets to promote animal welfare, training, and disaster relief to underserved countries throughout the world, including the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Honduras, and Nicaragua. She has also volunteered with Rural Area Vet Services.

Dr. Jewels loves traveling, spending time outdoors, and staying active. She is French
American and speaks fluent French. Outside of work Dr. Jewels enjoys volleyball, training
for triathlons and spending time with her 2 kids and her Labrador. She loves cheering for
the K-State wildcats and all Kansas City sports but is warming up to Chicago teams.

Ashley H.

Lead Certified Veterinary Technician
Ashley Joined our practice in 2019 as a Veterinary Technician extern. Prior to starting at
Colonial Manor, Ashley attended The Vet Tech Institute at Fox College and graduated with an associate’s degree in veterinary technology. Ashley enjoys training out team and
watching them grow into strong, confident and knowledgeable technicians and assistants.
She has a soft spot for German Shepherds and Exotics. Away from work, Ashley enjoys
spending time with her daughter and dogs.

Allie Wagner
Haley M.

Veterinary Technician
Haley joined our practice in 2022. She graduated from Joliet Junior College with a
associate’s degree in veterinary technology. Haley enjoys surgery in all forms. She is
currently pursuing her Veterinary Technician License. When not working, she enjoys being with her 2 dogs and working out.

Samantha F.

Lead Veterinary Assistant
Samantha joined our practice in 2021. She has a passion for dentistry and handling exotics. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her friends and pets. She currently has 2
dogs and a cat.

Allie Wagner
Cherish P.

Veterinary Assistant
Cherish joined our practice in 2023. She manages our housekeeping and inventory and takes pride in supporting smooth day to day operations. Cherish is currently enrolled in the Penn Foster Veterinary Technician program. She has a passion for helping dogs with behavior issues.

Michelle P.

Veterinary Assistant
Michelle joined our team in 2021. She has a soft spot for rabbits and has been dubbed “the bunny whisperer”. Her artwork and animal puns can be found in our exam rooms. She is the proud owner of 2 rabbits and a cat.

Allie Wagner

Veterinary Assistant

Allie joined the VSMR team in December 2021 as a part-time Client Service Representative. She recently completed her Bachelor’s Degree in Animal Science from UIUC, as well as a certificate in wildlife and fishery conservation. Allie returned to Colonial Manor in August 2024 as a full-time Veterinary Assistant. She would like to someday work in wildlife veterinary medicine. She has two cats at home and outside of work she likes to spend time with family and friends and go hiking. We are so happy to have her back as part of the Colonial Manor family.

Natasha
Veterinary Assistant

Natasha originally joined our team in 2020 and has since returned in 2025. She is currently
pursuing her associate’s degree in veterinary technology. Natasha enjoys working with
patients and educating clients. When she is not at work, she enjoys spending time with her
family, her dogs and running.

Lynn M.
CMAH Lead Client Service Representative
Lynn joined our practice in June 2021 but came to us with many years of veterinary client service experience. Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her husband and her twins, going hiking, biking, and going/listening to cover bands. One of the things she enjoys most about working at Colonial Manor Animal Hospital is building relationships with clients and their pets. Lynn currently has two dogs, Blaze and Aspen.

VSMR Lead Client Service Representative
Jill joined our practice in 2012. Outside of work, she enjoys golf and traveling to Michigan, going to the beach, and taking long walks. Jill is a wealth of knowledge for the Client Service Team. She enjoys meeting new clients and pets and building relationships with them. Her family recently grew by four legs, when she adopted an adorable five-month-old Shihtzu mix puppy, named Josie!

Client Service Representative

Talia joined our team in 2026. She is excited to be part of our team and have the chance to
build relationships with our clients and patients. Talia has 2 dogs and 3 cats and is a lover
of all things scary, including horror movies.
